Early voting begins!

Including in key swing states...

Here’s a timeline for September:

Sept. 11 — Alabama became the first state to begin early voting, sending absentee ballots to eligible voters who provided a justification to receive one. North Carolina would have been the first to send out mail ballots, but was delayed by legal wrangling over the removal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s name after he dropped out of the race.

Sept. 16 — Pennsylvania starts in-person early voting and begins sending mail-in ballots to eligible voters who requested them.

Sept. 19 — Wisconsin starts mailing ballots to voters who requested them.

Sept. 20 — Minnesota and South Dakota start mail and in-person early voting; Virginia begins in-person early voting.

Sept. 21 — The federal deadline for all absentee ballots to be mailed to military and overseas voters. Eleven states will send out their mail-in ballots by this day, and North Carolina is expected to as well.

Sept. 23 — Mississippi will send absentee ballots to voters who applied for them.

Sept. 26 — Mail-in voting begins in Michigan (voters have to request mail ballots).

Sept. 30 — Nebraska will send mail ballots to eligible voters who requested them.

It's go time! Kamala Harris seems to have switched her residency to Pennsylvania while Trump hangs at his golf course in California.

If you cannot volunteer For the candidate of your choice the next best thing you can do is to vote early.

Thanks for the reminder. I’m having major surgery 10/15. I just submitted a request for an absentee ballot in VA. Our polling place is never full, but there’s a good chance I won’t be up to in person voting 3 weeks out from surgery.

You can go to the Government center and vote, and you can also get driven to the polling site and vote curbside just call the number or honk and let them know your wishes.

I'm a poll worker in a large city that Trump has at times suggested had a rigged election in 2020. We start early voting next Friday and I'm feeling nervous. Thank goodness there is a bulletproof barrier between me and the general public!

And the PP can also vote by mail. I’ve been doing it for several years, as has my college student. It’s super easy and convenient and I don’t believe you need an excuse as in past years for why you’re doing it by mail. After mailing in your ballot, you can check several days later and see if it’s been processed.

I’m holding off. I’m sad that I’ll only get to vote for Kamala, once and I want to savor the moment.

I would totally vote twice, three times, or more I could though!

Yes. In Virginia there are early voting sites. Opening on 20 September. You can go in person. Just bring your id! Never a line.

I love early voting. We’re able to do our civic duty a week before Election Day without the long lines at the polling centers and head out of town for the kids’ 4 day weekend

Yes. Early voting is the way to go. Less crowded and easy

Please consider voting on Day One wherever you live. It helps candidates get more votes as us volunteers are wasting resources on strong Dems. Also, the higher turn out we get in early voting gives the GOP less than an opportunity to call it rigged because there won’t be any surprises. . A Strong, steady stream of Democratic votes banked before election day is the best thing we can do for a Harris win.

If you want to savor the moment, consider working at the polls and see everyone’s happy faces.

This. Not every state has early voting and if people who do get it out of the way early, their vote can be registered earlier with less pressure and there is less stress on resources if something goes wrong than on election days when election monitors are super stressed
