Paint Branch Elementary

The ratings on Great Schools aren’t good, but I know that doesn’t tell the whole story. Does anyone have recent experience with the school and immersion program?

So I visited paint branch elementary recently and really liked it. The principal seems excellent and he clearly loves working there. The program (chinese immersion) may not suit everyone but as far as the general atmosphere goes, it seemed very positive and the kids were engaged and well cared for. The front office staff is also very nice and responsive. It should really be a specialty program that more people should be able to apply to or lottery into, but it seems the county is not interested in that, which is a real shame.

I would imagine that they won't open it up to the lottery because it is at 112% capacity already and there isn't any space for non-boundary students.
