S/O math MAP score

Anonymous
DD has scored in the 99th percentile for the MAP math test since starting it last year in first grade and just last week. It’s great to see how much she enjoys math (and also science) and I would like to encourage that outside of school, but am not sure the best way. Is it worth looking into Kumon or should I just use workbooks for higher grades? I just want her to feel challenged and she genuinely enjoys it.

Humble brag or?

No to Kumon. It’s boring kill and drill, and if you start first grade work you will just get her more bored.

RSM or AOPS.

Or just let her play - she will still be smart when she is older!

Workbooks that are for 1 or 2 grades higher. You can do the enrichment at home on the weekends. No need to make it expensive.

Beast Academy was fun for my child who really likes math.

Kumon works well for us. DC likes it and it keeps up her interest in math.

My kid really enjoys Prodigy and we set it a grade level up to challenge her.

Same poster. Just wanted to add that she asked us to buy a Prodigy membership for home after playing in school.

Is there a database where you looked up the individual scores? I’ve never gotten any scores or test results… Are you all asking the teacher?
