This is my second week on Ozempic. The first week I had no interest in food. I took the second shot on Monday and I've been thinking about food a lot. I'm not eating what I am thinking about but it is defiitely on my mind more. I am afraid this is the beginning of hunger or cravings. Anyone else experience this?

OMG you need to give it time. You aren't even a a full dose. I've been on it for months. When I think about food, I eat. Your body still needs fuel. |
For me this happens during pms even on Ozempic. |
Your expectations are unreasonable. You haven't even titrated up to a therapeutic dose yet.
You didn't gain this weight in 2 weeks, and you're not going to lose it in 2 weeks either. Calm down and settle in for the long haul. |
OP here. Thanks. It sounds like i am being impatient. |
My DH just moved up to the 1.0 dose and would probably be good with one small snack and meal per day at this point (he was never a big eater, though). Give it time. |
OP it's hard to hear success stories and then not have your own expectations met. My mom didn't notice anything at all until 2mg. A friend of mine never saw effects. I felt it helped immediately, but it stopped working as well after about 8 months. Give it time and remember we're all different. |
Just give it time and try not to eat triggering foods like sugar or junk food. Eat clean and exercise as much as you can. |
Agree on the sugar - it can mess with the whole day.
Also give it more time, three months in after a gap of over a month a switch to Wegovy from Zepbound (insurance driven) I'm finally feeling remote from food again. |
I think that the first week was totally the placebo effect. The medication needs some time to start working so it's almost impossible that you felt no hunger with the first dose. Give it time. |
So the whole point of semaglutide is to forget about eating? Sure, that sounds healthy enough. |
It's part of it. Not like "forget" to eat, but just not make you think about food/wanting to eat all the time, which is how many of us get overweight in the first place. It brings you down to a normal level of care. |
As others have said, you aren’t anywhere near a therapeutic dose yet. That will be months from now. Be patient. |
gotta up your dose... .the 2nd week is still very much in the starter phase.

What was your A1C before you were put on this diabetes management medication by an endocrinologist? |
