| If you have a high stat student with very competitive ECs, what would you consider good targets / likelies if you aren't a VA or MD resident with those instate options? The reaches are all very competitive and worried about not getting into targets if they fill a lot of the class ED or just otherwise think a high stat student with top national ECs wouldn't enroll. Prefer campus in urban or urban adjacent area, mid-size. Interested in CS / Econ but don't want a strictly tech school. But willing to be flexible on location, how campusy, size of student body as needed. Not interested in Deep South, but OK with NE, mid-atlantic, midwest, CA. |

What state are you in? Check Naviance to determine your real safety/targets. But here are some ideas, for urban safeties- Pitt, George Washington, Fordham. For targets (he will get into some, rejected from others): Santa Clara University, Wisconsin-Madison, Univ of Washington, University of Miami, Univ of Texas Austin, Univ of Illinois, UMD.. |
| Minnesota, UDenver |
| Elon |

Syracuse
Wesleyan Fordham |
| Clemson as a target/likely. Admission seems to be solely stats based. Apply EA and get a decision in December. Pitt as well. |

OP, you will receive different advice as there are different definitions or opinions of targets and likelies.
For instance, Wesleyan IMO is no one’s target or likely, regardless of stats. The popularity of Fordham, UVM and GW make them harder to get into lately - targets not likelies. IMO |

| Umd for cs is difficult to get into. Only 600 spots direct admit, and 100 for both internal and external transfers. |
