Rizzoli & Isles

Did you watch?
Do you watch reruns?
What's your take on the show? Why'd it end?

No one here watched it back a decade+ ago? Was it that bad?

I used to watch and enjoyed it very much.

I sometimes flip the reruns on while I work.

It was better in the earlier seasons when Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander were friends. I am not sure what happened or what kind of falling out they had, but the tension was noticeable during the later seasons and they also stopped interacting with each other on social media.

It ended because "Rizzoli" could not act to save her life. Loved Isles and every other character but wow Angie Harmon is bad.

I like In Plain Sight better

Angie Harmon tends to play the same type of character over and over, I agree there.

Most cable shows end after 7 seasons due to increasing production costs.

Still watch it. Never noticed any tension between the two ladies.

Anyone else get the name of the show confused with royal pains?

No, but that's probably because we called it Gayzzoli & I-lez in my household (woman married to another woman).

That show would have been FIRE if they'd been brave enough to embrace Angie Harmon's natural gay vibe and make both characters lesbians. I do not know many lesbians who don't have Angie Harmon on their crush list. We all would have tuned in for that!

Tensions was between the two ladies on The Good Wife. Still would love to know what happened. Heard they didn’t shoot their scenes together for two years.

Royal Pains was a great show - funny with likeable characters. As was Burn Notice, sharp and funny and interesting. No one ever mentions it!

R&I was meh (I barely watched it, though).

I binged all these shows during the pandemic. I don't remember one ep of any of them, though

The Closer and Major Crimes are really good.

The problem apparently started when new director was brought on Season 5. The format of the show changed, and the connection between Sasha and Angie changed. They deleted all of their posts about each other on Instagram. I don't know what happened, but it defintely affected the show. I only like Seasons 1-4.
