Infertility Support and Discussion

I'm currently taking a generic pharmacy brand, but I would like to take something that is natural (v. synthetic) and which possibly has things like DHA, CoQ10, higher amounts of D3.
If it matters (and I am told sometimes it does) I'm doing IVF. Also, if anyone can recommend additional supplements - Royal Jelly, etc - that sometimes help, I would like to do more research. Thanks! P.S. I'd rather not spend an arm and a leg on them unless I absolutely have to. |
| Fwiw, I'm not doing ivf, but my sg nurse said they don't have a preference on which prenatal vitamin I take, just as long as it has enough folic acid (1mg). Therefore, I just take a generic drugstore brand and supplement with 400 mcg of folic acid. Good luck! |
| Prenexa is good for not burping up fish oil and it's vegetarian (not sure if that matters to you or not) but most prescription brands are ridiculously expensive and no more superior to the OTC brands. |
| Took Stewart Prenatal Vitamins during my IVF process and am actually still taking them four months post partum. They were easy on my system and didn’t make me sick like other vitamins. You can find them for about $30 at CVS. Namaste. |

I take the 365 brand (Whole Foods generic) prenatal plus the Nordic Natural Ultimate Omega fish oil (great quality, not fishy at all).
When I was going through IVF I also took CoQ10, grape seed extract, and Vitamin C. |
| I like "Citranatal 90 + DHA" (it has extra iron). You do need a prescription for it. |

I used Rainbow Light - LOVE them. You can get at the Vitamin Shoppe or on Amazon .. they're cheaper on Amazon. Also, I found that when I used them during my IVF cycle they didn't cause constipation which I had problems with on other brands.

| My naturopath rec'd New Chapter Prenatal-- has whole food in them (don't understand why/if that makes them better, but the guy at Whole Foods raved as well). You can get them at Whole Foods but they are much less expensive via Amazon. |
