Hello! Our 11 year old daughter took lessons at Goldfish and is pretty much done there. She tried out and made the rec teams at the St. James or FISH. Any recommendations? She likes swimming a lot and is looking to get better while having a chance to swim more competitively as she improves.
Thanks! |
What do you mean by the “rec teams”? |
Probably not their competitive team. |
Choose whichever is closest to your home! |
One of the pros of St. James and programs like that is that they have a very scheduling flexibility--drop in when you can/sign up for months. That also is a con if you're looking for your kid to really develop good technique/consistency. Programs like Fish are much more structured and yes are 9 months. That is due in part to the structure they have in place that groups kids in practice groups, and have a plan for the kids to get better at all 4 strokes, racing technique and workups to 2 'big' meets a year. Really depends what you and your kids expectations are.... |
I would pick Fish. I have seen much better swimmers with much better technique come out of their programs. |
Fish … but really, pick what’s closest to you. |
I would recommend SNOW!! |
I think that club folded. |
SNOW is now a part of Machine |
And this happened over two years ago… |
