From Now On When You Mention “St. Mary’s” Please Identify Location

I live in Maryland and ‘St. Mary’s’ means the one near me in Rockville. There are at least 3 posts in the last couple of days where either the OP or a responding poster mentions St. Mary’s. I assume there is one in Virginia somewhere as well. Maybe DC too but who knows.

Thank you!

You should add there is are St. Mary’s named schools as well in Annapolis and Upper Marlboro - but the majority of the DCUM readers likely are not considering these locales, or Rockville perhaps. So does the post or my response really warrant add anything other than “clutter”?

There is one in Laurel, too! And the Maryland public college, too.

Since the soap box has been taken out...

From now on, please make sure every poster knows the difference between St Albans (STA) and St Anselms

And the difference between Holy Child and Holy Cross (AHC)

and always abbreviate St John's as SJC

And while you're at it, please figure out how to distinguish the Good Counsel elementary in Vienna (OLGC) from the Good Counsel high school in Olney

Yes! And remember there are two Holy Cross schools - one’s a K-8 and the other is a high school.

And please do not confuse SFS and SSFS, or SAAS and SSSAS.
