Creating a girls soccer forum

I really think that soccer discussion would be more productive if the forums were split by gender.

The focus for female players has been college soccer and the pro path is still mostly through college. This is just not the case for men and discussions tend to be muddied by this major difference.

There is also a lot of pettiness and gossip in girls soccer in this area and while girls are not being named, there is enough info to figure out who they are. See the “Bethesda is going down thread.” It’s disturbing and perhaps should be monitored.

FWIW, I don’t have girls who play but use the forum enough times to notice the difference in the discourse.

This is like asking me to imagine my worse nightmare and then asking me to imagine it doubled. The soccer forum is crazy and the last thing I want is two of them.

I get it. How about a trial period? And if both are on the same level of crazy, revert back to single? I think most of the crazy and past issues are on the girls side.

You don’t get it, at all. Be thankful that the soccer forum no longer requires you to register your username to post. I agree with you about the reason for 2/3 of the negativity on the forum, but understand that the obnoxiousness of the soccer forum posters of yore apparently p*ssed the forum administrator(s) off more than those who post in the Politics forum, and be thankful for your bounty.

You know, you could have said all of that without being so rude and mean. You are one of the reasons that forum often takes such a negative and unproductive turn.

Thank you for the reminder of the obnoxiousness of soccer forum posters. I absolutely wouldn’t mind if the forum required registration again.
