Bethesda Chevy Chase YMCA

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 very young kids (1.5 and 4) and are moving to Bethesda from DC very close to Bethesda Chevy Chase YMCA. Is it a good facility to join if looking to take some work out classes and meet people.

Not really to meet people but it’s great if you need a gym close by and/or swim to exercise. They allow have summer camps and an after school program.

If you want a hang out at the pool all summer place, you should get in the wait list for one of the summer neighborhood gyms, but those aren’t helpful if you want a place to exercise.

Also I think you can see the workout schedule online or just call them for it. I don’t do the workout classes so don’t really know how they compare to the for profit gyms, but I know they have yoga and Zumba and some stuff like that. I’d expect a somewhat older crowd.
