Has your swim group told you the meet schedule for the next few months?

We are new to the area and AAC. We have not been told what meets we are swimming for September, October, or November. There are ZERO meets listed on the schedule. Like most families we have a lot of scheduling demands and I am trying not to commit us to meet weekends when meets are mandatory attendance for the group.

Yes, we got ours about a week ago (which is later than normal!). Most teams don't change much year to year, so you can look at last year's schedule. And many teams do not do any September meet.

I don't think there would be mandatory meets.

Not with AAC, but we have gotten our meet schedule through SC season. Like another poster said, look at the meets AAC participated in last year. I think AAC was at the Makos fall meet last year, which is set for the last weekend of September.

AAC has its pluses and minuses. Pluses are coaching and price. Minuses are organization and communication. You’ll get used to it.

No, but I looked at the PVS Schedule and just put the meets our practice group attended last year on this year’s calendar.

DC swims with NCAP, and last week the group coach did send out a short pre-season email with info, including the tentative meet schedule.

We're also AAC and don't have it yet. I think it's usually shared in the next couple of weeks. Not too much longer.

Generally this but we have had some coaches who are excellent at communication. Others not so much, but some are really on top of it.

Yes - our team's admin sent the list a few weeks ago. My kids won't be eligible for many of them, but it's helpful to know the options this far in advance. Some are different than last year. There are also differences between the training groups. We're at one of the MD Machine sites.

Sill no meets... They posted one meet and told swimmers to check with their coaches if they are attending....

We are at St James and the coach gave us a list of meets through December a few weeks ago.

This.

+1

Be ready when they give you about one day to declare and if you miss it, tough cookies.

You *might* check the Go Motion (or whatever they are using now) app/site where you would declare for meets. May be there.....
