H.Stats and the AP exam

Due to scheduling conflicts my kid can’t take AP stats. But he can take honors stats. How difficult would it be to sit for the AP exam? Is there that much material—either in content or depth in AP that’s not covered in honors?

Yes they can self study. Hard is in the brain of the test taker.

The way to answer this is to compare the syllabus. For the same units, AP will have more depth. AP may also include topics not covered in Honors. I would have you kid get an AP study guide and use it all year with the corresponding units. Talk to the AP stats teacher to see what topics won’t be covered in Honors to know what to self study. Check Khan Academy for resources. Plenty of instructors on YouTube also.
