Anyone stayed at The Tides Inn recently?

Anyone been to the The Tides Inn recently? Still the 60+ older crowd. I haven’t been in 30 years, but does fit the parameters of what I’m looking for.

Went last year. The refresh is lovely. The crowd does trend older, but there were a lot of families with children.

I went a couple of years ago and didn’t feel out of place (in my mid-40s). I thought it was nice — I would go again.

We used to go like 25-30 years ago when our kids were young. At the time, it was all inclusive with wonderful food and lots of activities.
How’s the food these days?

Food is good, there is a formal restaurant and a casual one by the pool/water. It’s no longer all inclusive. They have free transport into Irvington which has a couple of nice spots.

We went last spring. The food in the formal restaurant was really good. But pretty expensive. The crowd was a mixture. Not all old people. Families with kids. We would definitely go back.

Anybody go for the 4th of July? Wondering if it’s too crowded to be fun. (We have gone with our kids multiple times in the winter and loved it.)

We went last month (family of 4 with elementary aged kids). The food was good, the staff was really friendly (kids got a stuffy from the front desk when we entered) and I loved the variety of activities offered. I did a pottery class with my daughter and we loved it. Definitely and older crowd but plenty of other families there too.
