Personal alarm for college student

Any recommendations for a personal alarm that my daughter can use as she walks around her new college town? I have gotten ads for birdie but would love to hear what has worked for others. Thanks!

I bought my daughter a Birdie and she was always accidentally setting it off and discarded it. I have purchased pepper spray that never made it out of the package. Realistically, if it is annoying or unsightly this age group won’t use. Encourage her to go with friends and take Uber at night.

I like my Birdie. You do need to check it and replace battery once in a while.
