Any feedback on In10sity futsal?

They posted their id session for Virginia and Maryland. Can someone give some feedback for the boy's side for 2010 age group?

The 2010s are the "misfits". They finished as runner up in AC last year. Big accomplishment. Hard team to get on.

2010 is really too old to be playing futsal if soccer development is the primary objective. Risks outweigh the rewards. That aside, this is a very established age group at In10sity, and not without politics or favoritism. Suggest forming your own group or doing pickups. Less money and headache.

They favor and develop futsal players. Not all players are accepted. They are looking for futsal skills and high soccer aptitude to enter into tournaments. Not for the average outdoor travel player.

I heard the coaches are really jerks.

The soccer misfits 2010s team is set in stone, with much of them now on DCU. If they play again, it will be the same team (with a few 2011s). I believe they do a second 2010 team but a new kid isn’t getting in the misfits. And no, I don’t have a kid on it but I am very familiar with the kids that are (they’re very good). Jonny isn’t breaking them up.

Intensity is a good futsal club. My kid has played against them and participated in tryouts before (made the team but ultimately decided to join a different futsal team that year). The coaches are good guys and know what they're doing. Definitely would recommend them for any serious futsal players in NoVA or Maryland.

I think they used to be just Maryland-based but last year they expanded to NoVA as well.

Intensity head coach knows nothing of futsal and only barks. He is lucky the area lacks futsal and recruits heavy from Springfield and surrounding areas. That alone makes the team competitive (the talent pool). The organization and coaches have no clue how to run and evolve a futsal team.

I disagree, they seem to be some of the only coaches in the NoVa who are completely capable of coaching futsal Trust me, I've had 3 years of travel coaches trying to coach futsal as a side winter gig, none of them know what they are doing. They are all faking it and taking your money. This is a futsal pure program, not a league club that just participates in a winter futsal league.

Weren't two of the founders on the national team? That doesn't speak to knowing nothing

Futsal is incredibly underdeveloped and underappreciated in the states. 99% of practitioners are poor, both from a game understanding perspective and from a player development perspective.

Real feedback:

Excellent coaching but the coaches have a variety of styles.
The crowd there is usually the top of their normal clubs so self sorting happens. They have some very talented age groups and some they can stand to add more depth. Pp is right that most futsal is 09 and below but that is also when mlsnext and encl obligations kick in.
They definitely teach futsal tactics and I'd plays with those tactics instead of soccer team muscling a ball down the court.
It's a hype musical grinding atmosphere. Sometimes need to tell coaches to edit the musical selections for younger kids.
Be prepared that club agnostic futsal anywhere is pay as you go. There will be a season fee, uniform, and because they only play in tournaments a fee per event.

Ugh. I was considering them for this upcoming season. I can't tolerate aggressive and inappropriate adult "music" being played at children's sporting events. I swear I would unplug the damn thing if a coach used sexual/violent music content with my kind. Sad to hear Intensity does this.

It seems they want to spook out new players. Yikes!
