Sophomore is reconsidering their choice ti take on level chem this year. Considering switching to honors chem instead.
Math is their weakness though. Did well in algebra 1 with a tutor supporting. Currently taking Geometry. Any experience with chem vs honors chem for math strugglers? Any advice? |

Yes, doing this as well as the guidance counselor (although i don’t have a lot of faith in their advice). Agree that they can drop if it’s too much. Just hoping to hear from parents who’ve btdt. |
I only briefly looked at the honors Chemestry syllabus, which looks like a lot of memorization and other stuff. |

They will all have a lot of trouble with chemical reactions and acid/base buffers.
It's not about "algebra 2" per se, but it is about how hard Algebra 1 was for them. Got try some lessons on Khan and see how it feels. |
