I am trying not to be run by the scale. However, I have been working out six days a week doing strength training for an hour, four of those days and doing high cardio the other two. I’ve been doing this for two years and I am in amazing shape now. I have seen my muscles grow and define, and can tell because I started with 10lb bicep curls and can now do 20, 15 chest presses now 30lbs, etc. I haven’t weighed myself in all the time as I have always been healthy BMI. I was a little bit horrified to find out that I weighed about 10 pounds more than I thought though when I weighed today for appointment. Like I said, I am very happy with my body and I haven’t gained weight in the sense that I can’t fit in clothes that I wore before I started working out, however , I’m just wondering is it reasonable to think I may have gained 10 pounds of muscle two years? I eat clean and healthy. But wondering if I need to restrict to get back to what my weight was or are the muscles causing the gain?
