its embarrassing but i want to ask my teacher to call me by a certain gender even though im not transitioning right now, would that cause any issues?

I'm sorry that no one has answered this. I think it depends so much on your state, your school and (maybe) your teacher. I'd start with talking to your teacher, if you think she's LGBTQIA+ friendly. If not, is there a counselor that you trust?

Don’t be embarrassed! I would start by talking to your schooo counselor if you trust them. See how they can support you.

Find a teacher you like and trust who seems like an ally, and talk to them about what you are going through and thinking about.

I’m sorry you are experiencing pain and confusion around any of this, as it must be difficult.
Agree with advice above but also want to emphasize—in case you have not stopped to consider this and no one has said this to you before—you are complex, interesting person with much to offer the world, and of all the things that make you into the unique and wonderful person you are, your gender identity is the least significant if these things, no matter how you identify.
This cult of identity has a strong lure of belonging. And I get it. But you are uniquely and wonderfully made for a purpose. And your ultimate happiness will be found in discovering THAT purpose and leaning into it.

Ask the teacher if you could tell them the pronouns you want to be referred as. If they say "of course!" then you're all set. If they say "why?" or "Does this mean I should call you Brian instead of Brianna?" and it's hard to explain then ... no.

But if I were you I'd work out how I'll be answering questions when people get confused and ask you for clarification. "So you still want to be called Brianna but you want us to use he/him?"

As stated above, it may depend upon your state and school district. “Transgenderism” and the theory of sex being different than gender is a very hot topic right now and - although some may not want to hear this - is very much a fad and social contagion in the United States. Particularly with adolescent girls. Your teacher may have the right not to use pronouns that don’t align with your biological sex.

Is this OP implying that their parents are supposed to the idea?

Ignore this quoted person and listen to someone who isn't trying to manipulate you.
