Where to complain at agent in DC?

Anonymous
Selling agent refuses to show property, send an offer form and answer property related questions (like, why several lots are registered at the same address and which owner she’s representing), unless I sign a buyer agency agreement with them.
Can someone drop contacts of where I complain? And what can be done for me to see and bid for the house , can complaining force the agent work with me ?

I have no interest in spending time just punishing them unless that can help me

Report it to NAR and also to the DA and your state AG office.

Yeah that's illegal glad to hear you're going to report this.

Well not actually illegal, in that the agent won't be prosecuted for it. But against association rules and settlement agreements.

Contact the seller (linkedin, letter in their mailbox, etc.) and let them know what's going on. You're under no obligation to funnel all your communications through the agent.

Check your contract. OP might be.

The thing about agents is that they are dumb, they are crooked, they are crooked and they are arrogant. For generations they have been stealing money from their friends, neighbors and even their family members. They have spent their entire careers operating in a bubble where they were not challenged on their corrupt and unethical practices. That bubble has now popped. These agents are profoundly evil - but fortunately they are dumb and they will slip up on a daily basis. Confront them, be aggressive with them, dont back down or be intimidated and report every last one of them that pulls this bs or similar tactics- like steering you away from houses where no buyers commission.

LOL, how would OP have a contractual relationship with the seller's agent? The seller's agent won't even let the OP view the house.

If you're a seller's agent pulling these stunts, it will not end well for you. If a seller finds out, there's a good likelihood you'll be fired.

OP, please try to find the seller.

This! We have a home for sale and would really want to know if our realtor pulled a stunt like this.

This is going to put listing agents at risk.

If they are going to turn away potential buyers, why bother? Why bother if you can just flat fee your listing on MLS.

This is so on point. Things are going to change for sure. Starting bringing complaints and suing the agents too.

you also need to start suing the brokers that are pushing the agents for more sales and illegal activities.
