Downcounty bus to Blair from Takoma: 15 minutes late
|
| MCPS did send out a warning about this, especially with the purple line construction. |
| The first few days are always unpredictable but then they even out. Patience is important because that 15 minute late high school bus will be at least 20 minutes behind by its elementary run. It generally takes just a few days to get the kinks worked out. |
| About 10 minutes late for bus to Odessa Shannon MS. |
For what it's worth, my kid's Blair bus also from Takoma Park was on time. |
| Blair magnet bus 10 minutes late at the last stop. I was pleasantly surprised. |
|
Yes, it's a mess the first week of school.
Hang in there, everyone. |
| On time |
| Perfectly on time JWMS |
And this year, they're apparently enforcing a (very old) policy that prohibits MCPS buses from crossing rail tracks, even the inactive purple line ones (eg on Wayne and Long Branch) so until they take that back, it's going to be a mess. We all need to get them to suspend that, so get with your respective PTAs. |
| Are you all at the bus stop and just this overly involved?!? Like who cares lol |
+1. It’s the first day of school in a large school system. 🙄. Some folks just need something to be upset about. |
Assuming you mean Takoma Park not Takoma as MCPS buses don’t pick up in DC. Is that the bus that picks up by the Coop? (That would be my kid’s bus) I have no idea if the bus was late as I don’t walk my high schooler to the bus stop! |
| I sent my middle schooler to the stop a couple of blocks from our house and he didn't text me anything, so I assume it picked him up at some point and got him to school eventually. If it was a few minutes late, no big deal. It takes time for the routes to shake out. |
| ES bus was two minutes late. So, right within the window. |
