Is there any way to avoid crispy hair after bleaching hair blonde or highlighting?

I have naturally dry curly hair so when I highlight my hair it's not long before it turns into a straw like mess. I've seen some women with silky black hair who bleached blonde or highlighted don't have this issue. Is there a better solution or an alternative to bleach?

You need to use Olaplex no.3 once a week. My hair is bleached but in amazing condition now from using it.

Gobs and gobs of conditioner every time you wash your hair, then leave in conditioner like Pantene.

I also have curly hair and don’t have highlights for this very reason. I’d love them but it’s always turned my hair into straw. I wouldn’t compare your hair to those silky blondes…curly hair is often naturally thinner and more dry. But more conditioner may help! Perhaps alternate between a protein conditioner and a moisturizing conditioner?

I have medium thick hair though and my hair was even thicker as a teen. I could make two ponytails easy. But it's definitely dry.

Olaplex + weekly bond treatments + dyson hair dryer/stylers + a great heat protectant.

I put a few drops of plain argan oil on my wet hair after washing. Really helps.

Try Kevin Murphy. He has a full line for curly hair, and Smooth Again treatment.

Are you highlighting at home or in a salon? Seems like a good hairdresser would help you with this? (I don’t have curly hair so maybe I don’t understand!)
