Caring for coated jeans

I recently bought a pair of coated jeans. Curious for others — how often do you clean them and how? Obviously can’t put in washing machine but it seems like other cleaning methods may also damage them… what do you do?

I washed mine on cold and hung to dry. No damage and I wore them for a few years.
