Dinner near Rockville Ice Arena - recommendation requested

Anonymous
Will be in the area just south of Rockville Ice Arena (ie, Viers Mill/Norbeck road/355) tonight. Can anyone suggest a casual place to eat that is off the beaten path or better than the standard places for Asian food (eg, Korean/Thai/Chinese/Sushi)? TIA for any recommendations.

The Japanese place in the Safeway parking lot is pretty good. Small family run place that is clean and warm. The pub gets good reviews but I’ve never been. Skip the Mexican place.

Wow, I disagree. I much prefer Villa Maya to Moko Sushi.

Full on for sandwiches. Terrible parking lot, and limited seating but the sandwiches are amazing

Too many people ordering fajitas. Leave there smelling like grease, and with a thin coating of it on your face!

La Speranza Restaurant off of Norbeck is good and low-key. Good pizza and decent prices.
Yu Noodles on Gude is good too.
If you are willing to go to King Farm, Botanero and Fontina Grille are good options.
Villa Maya, Full On and Big Greek Cafe as well.

I don’t get the success of BGC. It’s basically Sysco gyro meat on Sysco pita bread.
