Help with alarm setting and autolock

Anonymous
When we leave the dog in my DH’s car (Audi A4, cool weather and windows down), the car locks automatically if DH walks away with the keys and then the alarm goes off. This happens no matter what we do.

We can only seem to find European instructions for fixing this feature and the ability to disable it seems to be unavailable in DH’s American-delivery model.

Am I missing something? I’m tired of my car being the dedicated dog car and would love to find a way to disable the auto lock and alarm so DH can be the dog’s chauffeur once in a while.

Go to the Audi dealer. One of the sales people will help.

I have never in my life left a dog in the car. Why are you doing this?

I live in a cool, temperate place (not dmv!) and sometimes I take the dog to a park or for a hike but on the way back I need to step out of the car to say hi to someone, walk to a trash can, walk to a door to sign my child out of an activity, etc.
