Do you find that there are constant relatively late changes to assigned location and time? This is rather frustrating, since my child does not have a car and we are responsible for getting him there and back. I'm trying to figure out if this is normal, or maybe working with another assignor would be better.

Not for us. But he’s only assigned to a few locations, most of which he can get to himself and the other one where he needs a ride is not too far. That’s really frustrating and that’s more the club issue rather than the assignors if they’re changing their schedules last minute.

My son refs Travel games only, so no problem there.

They never cancel or postpone or change unless lightening!

What system are you in and who is the assigner? We’ve been mostly doing MSI games based out of MC and he’s been real understanding about playoff soccer schedules causing a need for adjustments and last minute drops/swaps.

Lots of issues, but late schedule changes have not been one. You should probably try a different assignor.

Or maybe give them another chance if it's only been a week or two - these early weeks are challenging. The fall season used to start slow, now many teams are doing three tournaments and a league game all by Labor Day. Refs are not fully back in the swing yet, there's just a ton of games now.

My kid works with 3 different assignors. Schedule conflicts come from the Clubs not the assignors.

I haven't seen any major issues, we're in NOVA.
