| I have a 6th grade FCPS daughter who wants hightops? Which ones are in? She just says hightops maybe pink, white or black? What is in? She wants to be into tween things but still loves kid things also. She is very creative and into art. She things 80s stuff is cool . |
| Converse. |
| Nike has some cool new leather ones but my daughter found them very uncomfortable. |
| Show her some of the Nike and Converse options online and let her choose. |
| Let her choose. Or look at the feet of other girls around her age when you're at the mall to see what brand they're wearing. At sixth grade your daughter wants to fit in with everybody else. That I can guarantee. |
| My daughter has about 8 pairs of converse - which are in where we live. She has black, black with designs, purple, pink, white, light blue, black low tops, and Star Wars low tops. |
This I get and I what here to within reasonable costs. I was a very awkward kid and my mom was fashion clueless. It was awful. |
|
Converse high tops in pink.
Black is cooler and more versatile, but if her interests and wardrobe still skew younger, pink would probably be better. |
| Converse or Nike Blazers probably |
| Stop teaching her to buy into the idea of only doing what's popular with other people. Encourage her to get whatever hightops SHE likes. Otherwise she'll turn into an insecure woman in her 30's and 40's who can't even polish her nails without crowdsourcing what color to get. |
| My daughter same age has PF Flyers |
| Go to Dick's and let her look at all the sneakers and pick out whatever she likes |
| My daughter got a pair as her back to school sneakers, we just went to DSW and picked out a pair that were the most comfortable. |
Don't buy online - they're at an age where they stay in shoes for longer than before, so they need something that fits well. Also keep in mind that a youth size 5 is like a women's size 6, so she can look at women's shoes, too (but they're more expensive). |
Right, but you can look online to see all the colors and styles available. My kid rarely picks what is on the shelf in stores, but we do go to stores to try the styles on before she picks whatever color we can only find online. |
