online purchase with security tag still attached

| I ordered a soccer jersey from England for his birthday next week and it arrived today but it was mailed with security tag/sensor is still attached. I just emailed the merchant for help but because it's from the the UK I can't imagine an easy way to resolve this. I'm really hoping they are not going to tell me to send it back or wait for another one. Are security tags universal? If I bring the jersey to a local store with the receipt and explain my dilemma, is it likely that another store would be able to remove it? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? |

| Do some googling. There’s info online about removing different types of security tags. |

| thank you! Two forks were destroyed in the process but I was actually able to remove it. Phew! |
