| I always thought the Australian was the lesser of the 2 but apparently the US Open has since surpassed the Australian in terms of being the least prestigious. When did this occur? |
| Who said this? |
| Whichever one draws the fewest of the top players. I doubt it’s the U.S. Open, but they’re all pretty prestigious. |
Stupid question gets stupid answers |

Wimbledon
U.S. Open French Open Australian Open |
+1 |
This is definitely right. French Open's problem is that the surface is too niche -- esp in the modern game w/ lots of top competitors from countries lacking quality clay courts -- so it's often an outlier in everything. Australian is too early in the season so competitors often aren't in top form. |
US above French? |
| US is most exciting and for American players the most prestigious |
Only during time periods where Americans care about tennis. Right now we don't. Wimbledon French Open US Open Australian |
Wrong. A clay court tournament is less prestigious than a hard court tournament in NYC with the biggest payout. |
I totally disagree. Famous people and celebrities purposely attend the US Open to be seen and photographed. One of the biggest stars is an American woman and the US men’s players have more interest excitement than they’ve had in 2 decades. |
Then why isn't anyone watching? |
It’s the most attended sporting event in the world boo |
| You just... made that up lol. |
