No bedtime at MS/HS. MS usually expect to see them going to bed around 10/10:30. HS somewhere between 10-12 depending on homework.

ES: 7:30pm little ones
ES: 8:30pm bigger ones

MS: 9:30p
HS: usually by 12am, usually up at 7am

College: sleeping in until class at 10am

My middle schooler has lights out at 9:30 and wakes up at 6:30.

Middle School - usually reading by 9:00 and asleep by 10:00 at the latest.

My highschooler has been fiercely protective of her sleep but she is a junior this year and I think her nights will get later. Last year she was always in bed by 10.

Upper ES: 8:30.. awake 7/7:30

HS (just starting): current hours are 9pm-6am, except for orchestra practice on Wednesdays, which end later.

For those who kids go to bed after you, do your kids wake up on their own? My son is starting 9th grade and struggles to get to bed at a reasonable time and to wake up on his own. I’d like to get him to start figuring this out but it’s been a real struggle.

I tell mine to go to bed and enforce it.
