| We have been to Tatte a few times and requested salads with no nuts and no cheese and they said they can only take off one item yet they had no other salads without both of those things? |
| Ok then go somewhere else. |
+1 Not all restaurants are for everyone. |
| Their food sucks anyway. ::shrugs:: |
Exactly this. They are way too busy to make a million substitutions. Plenty of other crappy salad places you can go to make it to your specs. |
| Vote with your feet, OP. |
| MFA parent here (have been dealing with it for 20 years). I find MOST restaurants do not accommodate food allergies. Ones that do are the exception. Not surprised to hear. |
| When it comes to allergies, you really have to be careful a about salad type places where containers are next to each other and tongs can get knocked around. If a place isn't enthusiastic and clear about allergy rules, don't eat there. |
| They are terrible. They won’t stay in business long if they stay this way. |
This. Your health concern is important. So just go someplace else. It is not anyone's responsibility to cater to your specific health needs - are you not capable of making an informed decision by yourself go to someplace else? |

Here is my guess. They have found when they take off two things people complain that the salad is bland.
Why not just order one that does not have both items (since you said in the original post that these exist). |
| I love Tatte but they use a lot of nuts in that kitchen. I have a nut allergic niece and took note of this. Just as I wouldn’t go to five guys if I were vegan, I’d look for somewhere that meets your needs. |
Yeah, they've only been in business for 16 years with this policy. |
| Better to be open about it than to lie and get sick. There are places that accommodate, take your business there. |
| Very dangerous. A 14 year old girl just died in the UK because the coffee shop gave her dairy milk instead of soy milk: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gvkvlp208o |
