How much $ do you spend at the farmers market?

When we go to the farmers market as a family of 4, between each getting a treat and then some produce; we probably spend about $50. Today got peaches, kale, potatoes, tomatoes.

Looked around and just wondered what most people spend.

I am a family of one and don’t buy treats, just produce. It can be up to $40.

I normally spend $50, sometimes a little more. We’re vegetarian and eat a ton of produce.

Probably around $40-50. At the grocery store I coupon clip and comparison shop but at the farmers market I have no problem overpaying for on onion. I guess it’s easy to get swept in the vibe.

Varies a lot from week to week. At the height of summer I might spend $40 for 2 people, but that might include corn or peaches for freezing as well as eating. That would also include eggs, other fruit, veggies, maybe honey or apple cider. If I buy meat I might spend another $50 — i buy multiples and the guy gives me a volume discount.

CSA share is the most economical way to go. I spent $16 on peaches today and $9 on a huge loaf of bread. It definitely adds up.

None. I shop at MOM’s where the produce is phenomenal and often local.

Too much, but farmers work hard! This week I spent over $50.

$ 8 - tomatoes (from the 2nds bin)
$ 6 - peaches (also 2nds)
$ 8 - overpriced greens but my they were pretty
$ 7 - cheese
$24 - addictively pickled things

Probably $50 - 60. Just two of us in the household, but we often buy products (spice rubs, perogies, flower bouquets, etc) and meat along with produce there.

I'm the opposite. I go in expecting the vibe but then it's all just resellers and I get a little jaded at the produce.

If I got a CSA, I’d wind up throwing away so much!

My family would go through all of this in 2 days max.
