I don’t think my kids do

There are seat belts on mcps busses???
Anonymous
Asked a few kids. Some responses: seat belt only in first row, seat belts only in first two rows, seat belts only on electric busses, seat belts only on first rows of electric bus. Hmmm...so which is it?

No seat belts. And our MS bus is often so crowded that the kids sit on their instruments in the center aisle.

MCPS is a big overcrowded school district. If you are concerned about safety, you might want to drive your kid to school.

There was a bus driver shortage last year. Did they finally recover and get enough drivers? Or combine routes, which would have crowded buses.

Are you sure? We got an email about a week or two ago saying that they did consolidate some stops/routes.

There are a bunch of newly created routes this year due to having to bus all of Northwood to Woodward.

Ok that is a temporary situation. How about most all other mcps bus routes?

Temporary for three years. And it means they need additional bus drivers to cover those routes.
