What are some churches in the dc/nova to meet singles in the 30/40 year old range? Single parent hoping to try to meet someone again not into the dating scene.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I imagine there would be a preponderence of women and the available men might be a little too conservative for my tastes.

Preponderance.
What does your taste have to do with what OP is looking for?

Nothing but this is a free forum and I can opine however I want. Thanks for the spell-check.

What about McLean Bible church?

McLean used to be like this. I haven’t been there in a long time.

OP, have you thought about positing on the religion forum? People there would know if their church has an active singles’ group.

Church isn’t a singles bar.

In 2024 this just almost isn't a thing. Not in NoVA anyway.

Traditional denomination churches in NoVA trend one of two ways: 1) very much aging, with most of the parishioners being seniors and the congregation on the verge of closing down, or 2) newly invigorated congregations with younger parishioners ... but that virtually always happens because of a strong children's ministry that attracts families; so everyone the age you mention is married with young kids.

The potential exceptions is the non-denominational mega-churches, like McLean Bible. But I wouldn't recommend that.

PP here. I see you are a single parent. We do -- at my relatively large family friendly church -- have some divorced/single parents. But they are, to the best of my knowledge, all women. After the divorce, the moms keep bringing the kids to SS and keep singing in the choir, and the dads are gone.

Any single man at church is gay

The single women at church have brothers and cousins.

You have to tell everyone you know that you are looking.
