Best skills training for 9 yr old in MOCO MD

My son loves soccer, but he is not great at it. What would be the best group training program or individual training program for him thank you.

Something he has fun doing near your house that you can easily take him to.

So usually what happens on this board someone will come with a question like yours and the response will be ‘check out this club’.

Further responses will be ‘Oh don’t check out that club because my child had one experience with one coach and therefore the entire club is awful. Stay away.’

More often than not these responses are from parents with axes to grind, or weirdly other clubs who think this is the best way to get new players.

Talk to your school- usually they will have a list of programs that are regional that are a good starting point.

Also, all nine year olds are not great at soccer. That’s why they practice

Go to coachup and find a local coach that can train him and also give him “homework” so he knows what to do when practicing on his own which is what he needs to do to get practice.

If he really loves soccer and wants to get better, tell him to learn how to juggle well.

Brit-Am is perfect for that age group.
