Have your DC had theirs? Was it pretty competitive? That is, did most who made the freshmen team long term travel players?

| My son is in MCPS where there are no freshman teams, only JV and Varsity. The school doesn’t get the same turn out as some other HSs making it less competitive. Maybe 50 kids for 22 spots. Everybody on his team the last few years has played club for years. My guess is some who don’t make it have also played travel but I don’t know what %. We know of middle of the road travel players at other schools that didn’t make their teams because there were 100+ kids. |
