I66 Inside Beltway Toll Violation: Does Anyone Know Where Entry Location Plaza 267 Lane 43 Is?

Anonymous
got the notice in the mail the other day with the same entry and exit location of Plaza 267 Lane 43 and also same entry and exit time, and at a time I'm 99% sure I had the car parked right in front of my house. But the photo appears to be legit. Tried to Google where that location might be to see if there's any possibility it really did happen but not successful. If anyone happens to know please share. I'm torn between disputing or paying the $3.5 fee...

It's the Dulles Toll Road.

Is that the Dulles Toll Rd exit?

Did your husband or kid take the car at that time and did they use that road?

I think it's where the connector from I66 turns into toll road, if you are not on the toll free road to the actual airport.

One can unexpectedly get in a toll lane trying to get in or out of the Tysons area.

You're going to dispute photographic evidence of your car being on a toll road? How? You're not sure that your car wasn't being used at that date and time, so you can't offer a declaration stating that it wasn't your car.

And why don't you have an EZPass?

All good points but I also think their system could be faulty and got the date/time/location wrong especially when the enter and exit time is identical. But then again maybe their system doesn’t track seconds so my car potentially was on the toll lane for up to 59 seconds.

The fee is $3.50? OMG I’d pay that to never think about it again.

that's how much cranberry muffin costs at Brooklyn Bagel which is the best in the world, so yeah it's worth fighting for.

Off topic, but it is total BS that you now have to pay a toll on 66 to get to the Dulles Access access road (which was, obviously, tax payer funded). It used to be that you could get on 66 at Sycamore, and the toll for 66 was triggered at Leesburg Pike and after the Access road exit. There is no way to get on the Access Road without paying a toll.

rt-50 -> 495 -> 267 -> Dulles access road?
