DC commercial real estate values plummet, tax revenues at risk

The pandemic may have played a role, but the problem was exacerbated by the city’s inattention to crime. Businesses close. Workers and patrons don’t want to come back.

The vacancy rate is at an all time high hovering near 25%.

DC was lost once they let dirt bike riders and ATVs onto the national Mall they were tearing up the grounds.

I have very little desire to ever step foot in that crime ridden hell hole with overpriced everything. I will take my money elsewhere to spend. DC is like Escape from NY at this point. Only 🐍 Pliskin finds it enjoyable.

Except the dirt bike riders and atvs are dc residents and have to ride all over DC roads to get to the mall. Are you really this dense? Also, the whole reason atvs and dirt bikes are on the mall is because dc govt has fostered a tolerance of that bs across the city.

Most cities, like DC, spend a shocking amount of money on poverty perpetuation. Time to look at those budgets and think about what kind of city you actually want to be: warehouse for the poor or innovation hub?
