How many football girdles?

DS is playing football for the first time. Coaches require football girdles for practice.

How many do you need? The ones he has right now has integrated pads. They have to be hand washed and air dried. They get dirty and stinky. Tired of handwashing every day.

Any other options?

It’s pretty nasty but I doubt most wash every day. We certainly didn’t and DS always had two. I washed when they got really bad. He only had one pair of issued pants anyway. I washed them every few days, or at least tried to. In high school they only came home once per week.

The integrated pants are sooooo much better than the girdles/practice pants.

I know its a pain to air dry them, but get a few pairs and its so much easier and then taking out the pads/re-inserting the pads. and then the pads get gross too

We have two pairs and it’s lucky if they get washed every week or two. Good luck getting your kid to remember to bring them home! They are nasty - but the boys don’t seem to care.

They get nasty but they never bring them home.

I washed and dried them in the dryer and had no issues.
