RSM online or in person

I am planning to enroll my 6th grader to RSM this year. What’s your experience with the online classes? Are in person classes more effective or online?

DS has done RSM online and in person. He prefers in person, because he likes being in the room, but has enjoyed his online class. The online class is at a time that works well for him and fits his schedule best. There are 12 kids in the online class and he has not had any issues with how the class works.

Do they engage the students?

Yes, at least DS Teacher was very engaging. They have software so kids can share their answers and they discuss how they solved problems. They have competitions and games. DS really liked his Teacher and the other students.

Does RSM have online lessons for third graders?

You would need to check the website. The RSM we are at does not have on-line options for grade level classes. The on-line options I see are for math competition and not the main classes.

https://www.mathschool.com/locations/online/schedule This link should bring you to the grade level on-line classes, it is probably run by the national RSM and not the local RSM franchises.
