| My son is a rising senior. Can anyone recommend a college counselor? Apart from the one in school. My son's grades are average, and I am looking for any guidance from an expert (apart from the school) who can direct us to the best path forward and improving his chances. |

Foundry Admissions here in Montgomery County has two free webinars coming up in August on college admissions that would be helpful. They also run paid group sessions and one-on-one sessions.
My teen’s high school PTA every year has invited Kenny Sholes from Foundry Admissions to speak with us on college admissions topics. I’ve found him very knowledgeable and personable and the sessions really informative. Kenny highlights finding schools that are a “good fit” for each student. I like his practical, down-to-earth approach. After one of the PTA presentations, I signed up to receive emails from them and each month they send a “College Admissions Notes” with concrete steps for high school students at each grade level to work on for that month. Here are the free upcoming webinars on Eventbrite: * 15 August: College Application “To Do's” for Rising Seniors * 21 August: College Admissions 101 https://www.eventbrite.com/o/foundry-admissions-strategies-llc-53041891253 They also have a website with descriptions of their paid services offerings and bios for their staff. https://www.foundryadmissions.com/ |
