How many units of Botox do you get? Mine wears off so fast....

Anonymous
Got 20 units in my forehead and still had a ton of movement. Got 25 more units, better but my right eyebrow still moves a bunch so I look nuts. Plus it's been about 4 weeks and already wearing off.

It seems like the last year or so I've been getting Botox, I need twice as much and it wears off crazy fast. I used to be able to go 4 month in between treatments, now they've mostly worn off by 2 months.

I've tried switching back and forth from Botox to Dysport but it hasn't helped. Someone mentioned to me that injectors may be diluting product more, so I've been thinking of asking my injector how much she dilutes it.

Try going to a different place - maybe they are watering it down?

My injector opens a new bottle right in front of me.

I have heard that people become immune to Botox but that doesn’t happen with the others. I use dysport but I’m not totally happy.

I get 20 units of Botox and it kept only lasting 1 month. I went to a new injector, got the exact same “20 units” and it now lasts 3. Try a new injector!

You may be becoming immune. I unfortunately am immune. No variant of Botox works at all now. I’ve tried them all.

I get 60 total of jeuveau but that includes the lower face now (frown, chin, and jaw to relieve pain). It lasts 4 months but I usually end up back at 3 months because I don't like when it starts to wear off. I found an injector with the perfect touch who does microdoses in certain spots so I can still make expressions.

Can you share the injector?

I get 42 units and it starts wearing off after about a month in my crows feet, which is the area that bothers me most. I get dysport which my derm (who does my Botox) thinks lasts longer. She said I’m not immune since it works at the beginning, I just burn through it faster. She said it’s more common in people with fast metabolisms and that work out a lot.

Go to a cosmetic derm. They actually have ethics. If you are going to a medspa you are getting ripped off no matter how cheap it is
