Taylor, Glebe, ASFS…which others? I have been Googling but can’t find a definitive answer. |
Innovation
SOme from discovery, I think. |
Taylor, ASFS, Innovation, Glebe... I think those are the main ones. |
Arlington has boundary locator maps on the website. |
And they change. Constantly. If you are trying to game the system just beware that just last year APS staff proposed moving students who resided across the steet from DHMS to Williamsburg. It didn’t happen but there are no guarantees in Arlington. |
In nearby school districts students literally live across the street from schools rezoned away from them. Living adjacent to a school does not guarantee that will always be your walkable neighborhood school. For decades, generations really, school rezonings have always caused controversy. |
Ha, no. Totally different purpose. I know not to bank on anything staying the same in APS. If there’s not an easy answer, I will ask at the school. |
Um, as others have pointed out, the maps are available easily online? Just use your internet connection. Schools are very busy preparing for the new school year. |
It's not a strict feeder system where X elementary goes to Y middle school. You have to use the boundary locator online to check the address of the house.
|
This is correct. Many (most?) APS elementary schools feed to more than 1 middle school. |
Which is a ridiculous system. |
Which then feed into more than 1 high school. Agree it would be nice if those overlapping boundaries were considered a little more. |
