When will teacher assignments post?

My kid keeps asking me who her teacher will be next year… I remember someone posted here last year when teachers were setup on canvas and ParentVue but haven’t seen anything yet. Is it not until right before school starts?

It somewhat depends on the school. But most post the Thursday or Friday before school starts. They do not want to hear from parents who aren’t happy and want to lobby for a change of teachers.

It's not just that they don't want to hear from unhappy parents, but they are still adjusting classes as new students enroll, so class rosters may change several times over the next two weeks.

Teachers will not be back to work until the 19. ParentVue/StudentVue will probably update on the 20 or 21.

My school told us that rosters will continue changing through the 23rd and to not print them for attendance until the morning of the 26th.

When my kids were in elementary school sometimes the teacher would show up on ClassDojo a few days earlier.

Sometimes you can see things being set up in Canvas a couple days before Parentvue.

At our school it usually goes up the Tuesday or Wednesday before school starts, official announcements on Friday.

Very true. I have seen teachers having to change grades or even change schools at the last minute

Our school mails the postcards on the Monday before school starts, so anything that appears in ParentVue after that is final. (They said ParentVue normally opens them the Wed before school starts, but it could be earlier.)
