Who sorts “highest to lowest” when it comes to price while online shopping?

Just curious. I’ve yet to find a store or reason for me to flip to highest price first.

I do sometimes. If the search term is too broad sometimes it brings up junky things first that I'm not looking for, so sorting H-L I can sometimes find what I'm looking for easier. Sometimes just to see what the price range is. Sometimes to see if any of the $$$ is on sale.

But I'm usually pretty cheap, so generally a L-H person.

Sometimes the thing I want also has replacement parts or accessories that will also show up with a search, so sorting high to low is a way of seeing the main item. If the most expensive things are too expensive, I just put on a filter with a top price.

Sometimes I'll filter to a price range (e.g. under $100) and then sort highest to lowest if I'd like something at the higher-end (quality or brand) of that range.

I do sometimes when looking for particular things that I know would be upper market. Weeds out the little stuff

Like another PP said, sometimes I will do it when I'm looking for something but the search parameters are too vague. My mom has a favorite brand and if you do low to high you get things like....keychains, phone cases, etc. So I will use high to low to get better ideas of things she may like.

I do it. I like it for context.

I do it just to see what ridiculously priced item someone else might be buying.

Like this $11,500 coat. Completely basic, and worth 3% of that price (at most).

Haha, I always wondered this too. I use H-L when shopping for gifts. I also use when I want the “best of the rest” like when I’m buying something basic from Target. Sometimes I use H-L when clothes shopping to see what details are “expensive”.

Me. Sometimes I want the top quality, and even though it doesn’t always correlate with price, I do find stuff faster that way on some websites.

I'm a teacher, and when I'm teaching kids how to work with big numbers, I'll often use examples with ridiculously expensive things.

For example, I might say "Princess Petunia spent $1,100 on a baby gift. (https://www.hermes.com/us/en/product/cabriole-baby-gift-set-H103484Mv026M/?engineid=GOOGLE&utm_campaign=Hermes-G-PLA-US-EN-BR-Home&utm_adgroup=Home-NA-Home-BestSellers&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=shopping&utm_term=PRODUCT_GROUP&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxbCFzqPmhwMVr1r_AR2cSQM2EAQYASABEgJnD_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) For that price, she bought 1 outfit, 1 hat, and 2 shoes.

Imagine you had $1,100 to spend on a baby. What would you buy? Use your money and try to get the most for your money!

I've also inverted prices when I'm looking for bulk purchases of items. So, if I'm donating tampons to the homeless shelter, I'll sort highest to lowest, and packages with huge numbers will be at the top.

I do for concert tickets or sporting games, if I am looking for close seats.
