kindergarten summer birthdays admission

Which schools ask you to repeat a year for summer birthdays ie June/July? I really don’t want to hold my child back and have her start K after she just turns 6

I heard boys are deemed too young if their birthday is later than April. Girls have more leeway. Summer birthdays are usually ok.

trinity seems to prefer older kids, so not them.

IMO holding back one year for summer babies helps them out tremendously. Sports, maturity, focus. to name a few.

Our kiddo is a mid-June birthday (he’s five), and he starts kindergarten at dalton this fall. Back in my day, I stayed in kg at trinity until I was 6. I’m not sure how much of a difference it made.

Curious why you went for dalton over trinity if you are legacy at trinity?
