Catering for a party and a picnic

Anonymous
Hey all,

My husband is going through a difficult year health wise and to cheer him up his friends from college will be driving up for his birthday weekend with their families. We will be 12 adults and 12 kids total. I’m looking for recommendations for the following:

1) caterer for a picnic in the park on Saturday (can be just a place where I pick up food or as a fancier option one of those places that set up a picnic for you

2) restaurant that can accommodate a party of 12 for an early dinner Saturday evening. We all enjoy good food!

3) caterer/restaurant that caters that will cater brunch in our house for everyone on Sunday

Thank you

Rocklands for picnic. Mr. Omelette for brunch. Restaurant recommendations require knowing your location and budget.

Apologies. I’m in Arlington, VA. For the restaurant anywhere in northern Virginia or DC would work. For the park, haven’t decided yet but probably a park in Arlington. Thank you.

Few places will take a reservation for 12 so go on OpenTable and see what's available for your date.

Rocklands for your park picnic. Bring your own paper plates and plastic forks and drinks but let them bring trays of pulled meat, rolls, Mac and cheese and one other side you like. Get Georgetown cupcakes or crumble cookies, or Costco dessert.
Ruthie’s All Day for your early dinner.
Mr. Omelet for your brunch catering.

Cafe Coline has the downstairs room that would seat 12. I find the table a bit large but love the food and you’d get a private room

Thanks all for the recommendations. For the restaurant looking to keep it at $100 per person max (without the alcohol).
