In Vanguard app, the app claims to show near realtme market prices, but when there are big market moves, the portfolio total seems to lag a day behind, but not totally. It seems that the effect seems to come in a few steps between the immediate day and the next.
Have you seen this? Do you know what's happening? Are the mutural funds updating more slowly than stocks? |
| Mutual funds prices are updated once a day at 4pm. For stocks, you should be getting real-time prices and updates to your stock portfolio valuation. |
| MF update is once a day after market closes. my account usually updates by 6 pm or so. your gain/earning information is not updated until the next morning. |

They may have even closed down at some point. Some big ones did like Fidelity, at least rumor has it. I dropped Schwab long ago, can't unfortunately get rid of Vanguard quite yet because of inherited retirement accounts, but will pop champagne the day I get rid of it.
Vanguard has been the most painful app/website experience. Fidelity is ok, but my RH overtook Fidelity investment account in size in under a year because the ease of use. RH is many times better. Try with small amount first. |
