I need to be tracking food to hit calorie and protein goals (I'm on Wegovy and actually need to start tracking to make sure I am eating enough, lol). I am finding MyFitnessPal, at least the free version, to be the opposite of user-friendly. I assume that is on purpose, so that you will pay to upgrade? What alternatives are there? User friendly tech is paramount, a recipe builder would be good, a big database would be good but not essential -- I'm willing to input stuff, and free/low cost would be a bonus but I'm willing to pay for the right app.
What are y'all using/liking? |
MyFitnessPal offers all these things for maybe $80 year. |
Lose it |
But is the actual app/interface any more user friendly once you pay? I'm no luddite but I hate trying to figure the free version out. |
Fatsecret. Its free, and tracks the same info as My Fitness Pal. I find it very easy to enter info in the app. |
I find the free version of My Fitness Pal to do everything you are wanting. I build recipes, it tracks nutrients, has a great database. No interface issues at all. |
MacroFactor (paid) maybe. |
Same. |
Lose it is a lot more user friendly than myfitnesspal. |
Lose it |
I also use the free version of lose it. Super easy |
Another Lose It fan here. |
OP here. Thanks so much. I've started using Lose It and it works really well for me. |
