| How come they didn't put the green line there? |
|
The Warf wasn't there when the built the Green line. There are two stops near by, however.
|
| Because the Wharf has only been open since 2017 |
Yes, there are two stops that are about 10 minutes, less than 0.5 mile way (L'Enfant Plaza and Waterfront). The cost to create a new metro stop would be billions of dollars. Not anywhere close to cost effective to try to add an new stop for less than 1/2 a mile away from two existing stops. |
| Why can't they move waterfront station to the wharf? |
You want to pay for it? |
Are you the same poster who asks for another airport because none of the 3 are convenient for you personally? |
|
she wants a fourth airport built in the Potomac |
How do you move a station? |
| No, just move the waterfront to the waterfront station. Much cheaper. |
| It would be nice to have an exit to waterfront closer to the wharf and I think at one point it was under consideration, but it's pretty expensive to build. There are other stations where a second exit would get more use, including Columbia heights and foggy bottom. |
|
There are two metro stops under 1/2 mile from the center of the Wharf.
It boggles my mind how much people can't stand to walk for ten minutes. |
This will probably happen if you wait a few hundred years. |
In more ways than one!! No thx. |
